Prevention                                                                             

At French Run Family Dental, we focus on prevention.  We start seeing children as young as 3, and are proud of the number of pictures on our No Cavity Club board.  We offer sealants to our children to smooth out the deep grooves on the molars that are so prone to decay.  We believe through regular check ups and exams, as well as good hygiene at home, you can have a beautiful smile to last a lifetime.

Restorative

When problems do arise, our doctors can perform fillings, most root canals and extractions.  We offer nitrous (laughing gas) to help our fearful patients.  Some cavities may be treated with Air Abrasion.  Air Abrasion uses air and powder instead of a drill and most often anesthesia is not required.  This procedure is especially good for children.  Diagnodent is a revolutionary new technology that can locate hidden decay before it destroys the tooth structure from the inside out.  This is completely safe and pain free.  We also provide basic periodontal maintenance to our patients with gum disease.

Prosthodontics

We can fabricate crowns, implants, dentures, partials, and bridges.

Digital Radiography

In January, 2006 digital radioghaphy was introduced in the office.  There are numerous benefits to this technology.  First, the patient is exposed to less than half of the radiation using digital imaging.  Next, the dentist is able to look at images on a 19 inch monitor rather than a film the size of a postage stamp.  With magnification and brightness control, the doctor can bring out aspects of the x-ray that are just not visible on film.  This results in a much higher diagnostic ability for the dentist.  Finally, you, the patient, are able to instantly see a large screen image of your x-ray, thereby being involved in the diagnosis and treatment planning. 

Cosmetic

In most instances, we use white fillings (composite) to keep your smile as natural as possible.  Porcelin veneers are available for crooked or stained teeth.
